Contact our office regarding the Driver Qualification File Maintenance service we are now providing. An online storage of records, monthly emails of items in the file that are delinquent or are about to expire. The online files can be review by your office and by a DOT safety auditor. It is an efficient way to meet the driver file requirements.
 
The UCR fees for 2010 have not been finalized. States may now collect UCR fees based on the 2009 rates. The states can then collect the difference in fees once the new rates are established for 2010. The effective date will be posted when when they are released. 
 
Recommended - Keep your 2009 UCR Verification in your vehicles until the 2010 UCR filings are complete.
 
HOS revisions, if any, will be made public in July, 2010.
 
FMCSA has banned texting while driving commercial motor vehicles. Truck drivers that are caught texting could be fined up to $2,750.
 
U.S. drivers that transport hazardous goods into or out of Canada must be adequately trained and hold a training certificate. Their training certificate is proof of training a must be provided to an inspector upon request. Drivers will have to carry their certificates with them. Enforcement begins in March, 2010.
